Race Volunteers
The volunteers who help put on the Kobuk 440 are invaluable. No one can add up the hours spent by volunteers, wear and tear to personal trucks and snow machines, and most importantly the time forgiven by significant others. This is an ALL volunteer staff. From the villages to Kotzebue, our volunteers are extremely passionate about community events and cultural preservation. Without the dedication and support from these talented people there would be no race and a significant part of the culture of Northwest Alaska would be lost. Please take a moment to thank them for all they do to put on this race throughout the year. |
