Anna Hennessy fell in love with dog mushing in the Boundary Waters Wilderness of Northern Minnesota. She knew as soon as I stepped on the runners that it would be something she would pursue relentlessly. After handling for a dear friend Erin Altemus, in Minnesota for a few years, Anna moved to Alaska with her partner Emily to start racing. They have now been racing and training the dogs at Shameless Huskies Kennel in Willow Alaska for three years. Anna says “I'm incredibly grateful for the miles the dogs and I continue to share!” Describing her dogs, she says her lead dogs are Porsche, Laurakins, Metallica "Tal" and Oddysey, and to look for Spunky who is endlessly cheering the team on from the wheel position! She is really looking forward to traveling by dog team in the arctic and excited about the community involvement in this race and taking on another challenge with her best companions!
