Kotzebue has been home for Brad Reeve since he moved here in 1974. He recently retired as the General Manager/CEO of Kotzebue Broadcasting Inc. and had managed the station through most of the 1980’s until he became the General Manager/CEO of Kotzebue Electric Association in 1988 retiring from KEA in 2017. While at the cooperative KEA became nationally known as an early adopter of wind energy and a pioneer of Arctic renewable energy. As a public broadcaster he enjoyed broadcasting both sprint and distance mushing events for many years. He and his wife Mary enjoy spending time with their 5 grandchildren, and have supported the 440 race for many years. His goal is to work with the board to keep competitive dog racing a part of our region.
