I grew up in Nebraska and promptly moved to Alaska in 2002after college. I got to Kotzebue in 2002 and considered it home. In 2009 I got interested in dog mushing and had my own team until 2013. I took a hiatus from the Arctic from 2013-2018. While on the Kenai Peninsula I volunteered to help trail mark the Tustemena 200 and run checkpoints. I am happy to be back in the Arctic and honored to be on the Kobuk 440 board.
