Eddie Burke, Jr. belongs to Alaskan Wildstyle Racing kennel in Nenana, with a total of 28 dogs. He became interested in mushing after following and betting on races with his friends, which led to making connections with mushers at the Iditarod banquet and learning as much as possible about the sport in the following years, like a ‘sponge.’ He has two years of racing experience, having completed the Willow 300, the Yukon Quest 300, Ididn’trod 200 and Knik 200. His sponsors are Northern Air cargo, Bering Pacific Construction, and Alaskan Wildstyle Racing. He’d like to thank his mentors and friends Aaron Burmeister and Tony Browning for making this all possible, as well as the Burmeister family and Tony’s wife Marion.
