Picture
Michael Manzo moved to Alaska in 2002. Recently, he moved to Kotzebue from his dry cabin on the Tanana River. Mi'kmaq Indian, originally from Northern Maine, he enjoys long winters. Michael is an Iraq War veteran, having served thee year-long deployments with the 84th Engineers Combat Heavy Battalion. Malamutes are the old breed of the region. Almost all race dogs in existence today, are part Malamute. His six-dog team is equivalent in weight to 14 (or more) race dogs. His Malamutes are used for hunting, gathering firewood, and exploring.
Sponsors and others to thank: No sponsors, but many thanks to: Iva Baker and Chris Dankmeyer for help with the move.
