Ryan Redington claimed his first Kobuk 440 championship title in 2019. After the race was canceled in 2020 due to coronavirus, he went on to earn his second consecutive Kobuk 440 championship in 2021. The son of prolific musher Rayme Redington, and grandson of ‘Father of the Iditarod’ Joe Redington, Sr., Ryan was born into the sport and the lifestyle of mushing. He has run many competitive races including the Iditarod where he finished in seventh place in 2021. He runs Redington Mushing alongside Sarah Keefer, splitting his time between races, tours, and training across Alaska and the Midwest. His dogs include Earhart and Sven, as well as Boo, Willy, and Splint who have experienced the Kobuk 440 trail in previous years. He would like to thank Sarah Keefer and his parents, as well as his sponsors AFS, Tammy and Bruce Caison, Ryan Air, dogbooties.com and Sue McCarville.
