Annette Llanes racing from Honky Tonk Kennel has been involved in the mushing community since coming to Alaska for vet school in 2016. She has been on the vet team for several races including the Yukon Quest 1000, and 300, Kusko 300 , Two Rivers 200 and Copper Basin 300. Annette started her Kennel in 2022 with a menagerie of dogs, she bred two litters in 2024 and has created her "Pups and Ma" team that she will be running in the 440, 9 yearlings and 2 mommas!
Annette says she loves exploring Alaska with her dogs, growing her bond with her dogs as they learn to tackle challenges together. Her sponsors are her friends and family, and he would like to thank the dog mushing community in Nome who encourage her. She is looking forward to seeing new country and making new friends! |
