Eddie Burke, Jr. attended the Iditarod Musher’s Banquet in 2016 and was hooked on dog mushing ever since. He started racing in 2021, and has since run the Knik 200, the Willow 300, the Kuskokwim 300, the Yukon Quest 300, the Iditarod, and the Kobuk 440. In 2023, he won the Knik 300, placed third at the Kuskokwim 300, and placed seventh in the Iditarod earning him Rookie of the Year.  He has placed 3rd in the Kobuk 440 twice! This year, he has a young team of yearlings and looks forward to showing them the trail.  His lead dog is Red Dog.
